UCMAS VAUGHAN SUMMER CAMP 2020
Get Ready for 2020 UCMAS Summer Camps! Another year of fun and learning at summer camp that focuses on creating a dynamic learning environment for your child in fun filled setting. The camp is organized to provide engaging STEAM activities that keep your child’s brain active during vacations.
Our approach to camp is to learn by doing and will let your child explore the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths) activities that will enhance your child’s cognitive skills. The benefit of Abacus learning is well known and UCMAS being pioneer in Abacus learning is well recognized and is part of this camp. But our summer camp is beyond Abacus math and also deals with the creative aspect of math where child “Learn Through Play and Play to Learn”. Our creative math will use puzzles games, origami, tangrams, patterns, relationships, connections, etc to building reasoning and develop logic sense in your child. The second half of the camp deals focus on weekly Themes selected based on – Robotics, Arts, Leadership, French.

2020 Summer Camp Themes
Robotics will deal with electronic component and science behind them that includes concept of electricity, and its real life application, concept of machines/motors and will learn to control them in team building games that will help kids develop an early interest in Engineering, Science & Technology. Regular presentation of the robotics models will also help kids built leadership qualities.
Art is fun and kids are creative art geniuses with an inborn talent of their own. The art program is based on famous Monart Program. Monart is a world-famous drawing program which was started in 1979 by Mona Brookes, a world renowned artist and writer of “Drawing with Children”. Art will bring forth the artistic expression of Mona Brookes for the young kids to experience the joy of art in an enjoyable setting where each student is guided to successfully express their art. The camp focuses on the basic elements of drawing and colors and is a uniquely recreational program in a project-based setting.
Leadership is a mindset that helps early learner identifying needs, brainstorming, finding creative solutions and presenting your idea. The leadership camp focus on four elements of leadership through project based activities – Creativity (Being creative), Teamwork (Get along), my ideas (Innovation mindset) and public speaking (speaking about your idea).
French can lead the way for great experience in life for your child. French being a second official language of Canada is great part of Canadian culture and heritage with 11.5% population speaks French in Ontario. As bilingualism continues to grow in the world, learning French is an obvious choice being an official language of 28 other counties. Other Activities: Apart from above themes fitness exercise, outdoor fun, and board games will keep the little one busy throughout the summer. 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm (EC) Reading & Snack time
Camp Location: 9750 Weston Road (Unit 7A), Woodbridge (Parents need to drop off and pick up from the location)
Full Day Camp Timing: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday) (no food or snacks included)
Half Day Camp Timing: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm / 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday) (no food or snacks included)
Center Timings: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Extended Care Available)
All campers shall bring their one (1) lunch pack, two (2) snack packs and a pair of indoor shoes. All campers shall be dressed in comfortable and casual attires. All campers need to bring Sunscreen and cap. All liquids shall be provided in closed bottles or containers. Every Friday all campers make fun visit to splash pad, so swimming costume or extra pair of clothes and towel required. Our facility is nuts free zone so ensure all food is free from nuts. For multiple sessions:
Number of Sessions x Fees based on Selected Session (Add EC amount if selected) = Total Fees x 1.13 (13% Tax) = Final Amount x 0.95 (5% discount for multiple sessions) = Net Amount to be paid.
